Art as Prayer - Let it Snow

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.
- Matthew 11:28-29

I use Pinterest to create collections of photos, which reflect how I feel about the man I love and the life I envision with him.  The photos are stunning with beautiful gardens, barns, roads, food, quotes, churches, kittens, children and art.  But yesterday I realized that in creating such beautiful photo boards, I had created a vision he does not share or believes is unattainable and idealistic.

Much of my life and resources the past thirty-five years has been wasted on what is unimportant due to my own stubborn and selfish attitude.  I realized too late that what is most important to me is the love of others and following Jesus.  I have always had big visions but what is now in my heart is family and to serve others.

I deleted all my Pinterest boards except for the one on Faith titled Let it Snow.
