The Divine Milieu and Singularity

"You are not a human being in search of a spiritual experience. You are a spiritual being immersed in a human experience."
- Pierre Teilhard de Chardin – Jesuit Theologian and Scientist

If I were asked to describe how I think, I would say that I not only see lyrics, but I set the words to music.  Most people when moving through their experiences do not "hear the music" which is the underlying connections to God or higher consciousness.   Operating at a higher consciousness is to see meaning that is different than a physical reality we believe is rooted in cause and effect that can be explained.

By deleting my Pinterest boards recently except for "Let it Snow" which contained quotes on faith, I was not closing the door on my dreams, but instead handing them over to God and allowing for him to work in my life and open new doors.  It was a symbolic act to align my thoughts with my faith in God.  Many cultures, ancient and modern, practice rituals and create symbols to align our thoughts with a higher purpose affecting both the metaphysical and the physical.

I have written about the "unus mundus" which is the consciousness and unconsciousness that Carl Jung described as underlying everything.  Our thoughts are not just given power through action, but in and of themselves affect the "unus mundus."  Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, a Jesuit theologian referred to this as the Divine Milieu, which envelops us, like air.  Everything we think and do affects the Divine Milieu.  He postulated that God's end purpose in creating the universe is to create one higher consciousness referred to as the "singularity."  He said four forces are at work in the universe - attraction, connection, complexity, and consciousness.  From the initiation of the Big Bang to life on Earth will eventually result in the singularity where as a human race we escape the confines of our own consciousness.

Operating at the metaphysical is to see symbolic patterns that are connected to each other similar to "spooky" particles in quantum mechanics.  In quantum mechanics there is no physical cause and effect but the action of the particles are related.  I create and see patterns with symbols or experiences that most people cannot "hear" because it requires ongoing imagination and a leap of faith.  I believe that we have the ability to imagine and converse with each other through the use of shared symbols and experiences.

It has been my dream to teach other to hear the music by connecting the symbols and experiences and moving us to a higher state of consciousness.  This is where thought escapes our human boundaries reaching "singularity."  According to Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, singularity can only be achieved with the help of God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.  Singularity is when the Universe becomes the complete body of Christ.
